What is the pattern? It is the ultimate end and the ultimate beginning. When all patterns have emerged from the universe, the interaction and shifting of all patterns from the beginning of time to its end, is, in itself, the ultimate pattern, and the ultimate truth. The pattern is very much like a dance, in which each dancer has a few specific paths they must follow, but the moves they make along the way are completely up to them. Reality is not what it would seem to be. It is, at the same time, simpler and far more complicated than we could imagine. If you have ever looked at the world in awe at its beauty and its complexity, and felt that there was something deeper, something amazing that seemed to radiate outwards from every object, from every plant and animal, even from the very air itself that made the whole scene seem alive and connected as a wondrous whole, then you have experienced beingness within the pattern and the flow of spiritual essence. All smaller patterns, from the spider’s web on the door to the dancers onstage and the dance they follow, to the music coming from the radio, to the position and shape of the clouds in the sky, and even the pattern of the sound of falling rain, are simply reflections of the ultimate pattern and the ultimate truth. All things are interconnected, and the universe as a whole exists within every grain of sand.
Our Philosophy: Strive to consciously create and live within the pattern of reality. From moment to moment the world is being created by Divinity which dwells within everything, connecting us all. Through internal reflection and the study of life’s patterns we can become more aware of this connection. This awareness allows us to lead fuller lives by actively participating in creation. The pattern, or web of life, is reflected in The Elodrym symbol.
We acknowledge seasonal patterns and celebrate the Neo-Pagan Wheel of the Year which is sometimes called the Eight Grove Festivals. Cycles such as birth, death, adult-hood and transitions through magical studies are marked by ceremonies. These celebrations are very fluid. The Elodrym have a template for ritual but every event is different. Participating members design eclectic ritual using shamanic and ceremonial styles.
